But what they don’t see are the years—and faith journey—behind that title.
I didn’t start my career in a white coat. I started as a maid at Disney, behind a pawn shop counter, and in the accounting department of a nonprofit.
It wasn’t glamorous—but it shaped me.
I wasn’t lost—I was learning.
Learning how to work hard. How to adapt. How to keep showing up when the path felt unclear.
I wandered through majors—premed, animal sciences, art—before finally earning my psychology degree at the University of Florida.
It wasn’t until the very end, during my MBA capstone, that God redirected my steps. I stumbled upon a YouTube interview with a dental student. His face lit up talking about a life that aligned with his gifts.
That was my lightbulb moment. I prayed, shadowed dentists, and knew—I was made for this.
Dental school wasn’t easy. I faced academic setbacks, financial stress, even failed part of my board exams and had to retake them.
But I made it.
I crossed the stage in tears, knowing every obstacle prepared me for the work I do today.
Now, as a practicing dentist, faith-based career mentor, and speaker, I guide pre-health students and young professionals who feel called to healthcare but are quietly questioning if they’re on the right path.
Because I’ve walked that road—and I know what it’s like to crave clarity and peace but feel stuck in doubt.
Today, through coaching, strategy, and purpose-first programs grounded in faith, I help students discover their God-given gifts, align their career path, and move forward with confidence.
I believe in Jeremiah 29:11—that God has a hope and a future for every aspiring healer.
